040. Should you say goodbye to sugar?
Hey Mama,
I used to renounce sugar by the end of a weekend and tell myself, “I’m not going to have any sugar this week, and my diet plan will be back on track!”
Sound familiar?
I’m sure you can guess what happened to me...
👉 I wouldn’t grocery shop for anything processed or sugary.
👉 I would put tons of fresh fruits and veggies in my cart.
👉 I vowed this week would be different (even though it never was).
I’d restrict, stay on my “plan” really well for two to three days or until I couldn’t bear it any longer... And then I’d claw through the cabinets until I could find some sweet (pun intended) relief, and end up eating the whole package of whatever I could find that I had left.
You wanna know how that changed?
🙌 When I stopped putting a timeline on myself for weight loss.
🙌 When I stopped outlawing foods.
🙌 When I started making all foods fit into my actionable nutrition plan.
This week on the podcast (ep # 40), I interviewed Kaitlin Soule, a cognitive behavioral therapist who specializes in treating anxiety disorders and women’s mental health issues, and we are talking all about:
How to enjoy the sweets in moderation instead of bingeing them?
What is self sabotage, and how can we recognize it?
How to notice the big feelings under our emotional support food and how to feel our way through them instead of eating our way through them!
Why is eating the easy way out of emotions, but in reality makes things harder for ourselves?
Why are some mindfulness tools hard to access in the moment, and what can you do instead?
Xx

P.S. If you’re done with the obsession over the scale, giving your power to it, and letting it decide your day - book a free breakthrough session with me here, and let’s see if working together makes sense.
Here’s a snippet from a client/mom who was a nurse turned entrepreneur in the Midwest I’m currently working with…”This is the first time that I’ve lost even a tiny bit of weight without it being by accident or totally based on restriction and guilt. It’s nice.”
I’d love to help you find your power using safe and scientific actionable steps to empower you today (because it doesn’t just come magically when you get to that *goal* weight).
