025. A Smoothie That Keeps you Satisfied and Full
This week on The 4Ms with Molly (# 025), I teamed up with Katie DeSantis, owner of Vitality Bowls & we’re talking all about her favorite smoothie, a framework for a fool-proof way to make a smoothie, juicing vs. smoothies, spring time smoothie flavors, and her favorite pairings with smoothies to keep us satisfied and full!
Let’s dive in! Her favorite smoothie is the “Go Green.” The “Go Green” includes unsweetened almond milk, frozen fruit, and frozen veggies. In addition, it has Graviola - a tropical fruit that offers its own unique health benefits.
Other ingredients include: bananas, spinach, kale, and spirulina. She loves the taste + she loves the extra benefits she gets from the leafy greens and spirulina adding in some extra protein and iron.
Another tip? Add nut butters to your smoothies to get a healthy fat, and help keep you satisfied and full.
She loves to keep simple ingredients at home so you can assemble a smoothie whenever-wherever. Her list includes: almond milk, coconut milk, or coconut water. She tries to keep things her family will actually eat at home - they love frozen mango and pineapple - and she tries to pack as many nutrients in as possible (think frozen greens, broccoli, spinach, kale, and don’t forget avocado)!
